Owwww! This photo has been circulating around and I got it in an email - I'm sorry I don't know who to give the original credit to so if anyone knows, feel free to tag them! The story that accompanied it was that it was a gentleman who was cleaning his Glock and pulled the trigger for disassembly and obviously, the gun was loaded. ALWAYS remember your gun safety rules and ALWAYS follow them! I know lots of people think this could never happen to them but complacency is human. I've heard plenty of people talk about shooting holes in their house during "dry fire" and cleaning sessions. It's pure negligence and it's entirely preventable - don't let it happen to you. I'm sure the guy in the photo feels foolish about his mistake but I appreciate that he was willing to share the photos to remind everyone to stay disciplined with safe gun handling!! (To address the idiotic "This is why I don't like Glock" comments in advance - I promise you can just as easily shoot holes in your hand with other guns. Whether you have to pull the trigger for disassembly or not, you should clear, clear, clear and re-clear your gun before taking it apart!) |
